Intuition vs. Conditioning
How do we now it´s intuition and not fear, anxiety or conditioning?
Both speak with the body. Both use the same pathways,
the same sensations and the same signals, but they come from different levels of consciousness. The source comes from a different place.
Intuition comes from connection.
It is the language of truth.
It is quiet. It is neutral. Certain.
It doesn’t rush or justify.
It simply is.
You can feel it as expansion.
And presence.
Conditioning comes from protection.
It´s the language of survival.
It´s loud, it´s fast and urgent.
Sometimes even seductive.
It pushes you to act immediately or hide completely.
It´s not wrong, its just outdated and trying to protect
you from a version of pain that no longer applies.
Intuition opens the body up.
Conditioning closes the body down.
Intuition guides.
Conditioning defends.
They play from the same instrument – your nervous system – but they are different songs entirely. You can literally feel the difference physically. Intuition creates spaciousness, a soft inhale. Conditioning creates tightness, your chest is shrinking down around your breath. When you calm, you can tell instantly, which is which. When you´re dysregulated, they sound identical. And that’s when fear starts to wear intuitions clothes.
CHECK THE BODY
Am I remembering, or am I perceiving?
Is my body open or braced?
Does this require urgency?
Intuition doesn’t rush, condition requires urgency.
Intuitions message is more natural. Peaceful.
Intuition might say no. But exhales.
Conditions says no. And panics.
Intuition equals grounded expansion. It may challenge you, but it feels like oxygen. It might stretch you, but it carries peace underneath.
Conditioning equals contraction. It shrinks possibility. It creates urgency or smallness. It tells you to stay put, apologize or hide. Even if both feel uncomfortable. The texture of the discomfort is everything.
Intuitive discomfort feels like stretching. Alive, awakening unfamiliar but not unsafe. Conditioned discomfort feels like panic, heat, constriction, urgency, dread. Intution speaks in statements. Conditioning speaks in questions.
At the most basic level, connection means: your inner world is aligned.
Body, mind and heart working together instead of fighting each other.
Intuition only speaks to now. It just says: “Yes. No. Wait.”
Conditioning always refers to then. It says: Remember that last time? You know how this ends? It uses memory as armor.
You can’t think your way out of conditioning. You have to come back home to you body and retrain it, to feel safe enough for intuition to flow through again. This is why: „Just trust yourself“ advice, doesn’t work, when you are dysregulated. The body can’t access Intuition, while it’s in survival mode. You have to calm the body first. That is the gateway.
